Our busy summer

Just Floating Around
Hay Ride, Roasting Marshmallows, Playing Super Heros at Garner

Paddle Boats at GSP, Dancing at GSP

4th of July at Uncle Mikes, Just rolling around on the bed at New Braunfels

It seems as if we have been on the go constantly this summer making great memories. We spent several days on the Frio River with our friends and family. We had a great time floating in the river, hanging out with friends, going on a hay ride, roasting marshmallows and dancing at Garner State Park. Fourth of July was celebrated at Michael and Laurel's house as we grilled hamburgers, played horseshoes and beanbag toss, along with Michael's homemade slip-n-slide. I think our car could now find its own way up I-10. We traveled back to the hill country with the Sapp family for our annual Schlitterbahn trip and float down the Comal river. I love the summertime and being in the water. I hope that our children enjoy it as much as we do. I can still remember all of our family trips to Canyon Lake and the Guadalupe river as I know Jason has fond memories of his trips to the Comal with his family. Family, friends, and fun! There is not much better than that.

More pictures....

A camping we will go...

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day weekend. We enjoyed ours with a little R&R at South Padre Island where we went to Schlitterbahn and visited the beach. We had a great time camping with April, Ronnie, Aliska, Andrew and Trey! Lauren and Andrew can play together for hours and Aliska and Trey are great helpers with Justin. The kids loved the water park and the ocean. Justin is definitely a water baby. Good thing, because I think we are going to spend half of the summer in either a river or pool with all the trips we have planned.

Since my last post, Lauren also had her first ballet recital. She did awesome and we are so proud of her. You are about to get another picture overload, because of course there are just so many cute pictures of the kids that I want to share.

Justin's first time to go swimming. He loved it and just kicked, kicked, kicked!

"What? Oh this is the mud you told me not to get in?"
Mother's Day. Lauren's first time to play in mud.

Lauren's first professional manicure and pedicure. She loved it! Boy are we in trouble!

The Birthday Princess and her birthday breakfast.

At Michael and Laurel's wedding. Lauren was a beautiful flower girl and Justin looked so handsome in his little tux!

Sorry it's been so long!!!

Okay, so it has been a month since I wrote anything, and what a busy month it has been.

At Justin's 4 month check-up he weighed in at 13 lbs 1/4 oz and has doubled his birth weight. Everything was great and he had to get 4 more vaccinations. After the first shot he giggled, I think he wasn't quite sure what had happened. And after the next shot, then he let the tears flow. Now he is almost 5 months old. One of his things this month has been to stick his tongue out and blow bubbles. You can see this performance in the video I will post. He rolled over from his back to his tummy this week and is getting quite good at it. I love experiencing all of his new "firsts", but at the same time I am sad that he is getting so big!

Lauren turned 4 this month and she had a My Little Pony party. She had a great time at her party and we appreciate all that came and celebrated with us. My brother Michael got married on her birthday and she was the flower girl at their wedding so she got to dress up like a princess for her birthday. She has been such a great big sister to Justin and I can tell they are going to be great friends. Although, I am sure there will also be plenty of sibling rivalry to go along with that. Justin loves watching Lauren and she can always make him smile. I will post plenty of pics to go along with this update.

Most of Lauren's activities have wrapped up for the summer and I am not going to lie, we are looking forward to being lazy. She is only going to participate in gymnastics this summer. She has her ballet recital on June 7th at 10am at Kingwood High School if anyone is looking for something to do. Her class has a short routine to The Good Ship Lollipop. I will post pictures or video when I have them.

I know everyone is just about done with school so start enjoying summer!
