7 Years and Counting

We have been very busy since my last post. I was able to enjoy a fun bachelorette weekend in Austin for Laurel (Michael's fiancee). Justin hung out with all the ladies most of the weekend and was great. Lauren had her own girls weekend with her cousin Emily and her Mimi. That week Lauren was sick with an ear infection and the associated symptoms and then after the weekend I was sick for a couple of days. Jason has been out of the country so I was very thankful that Lauren is good at entertaining herself and Justin is such a great baby. Otherwise, I don't know how I would have gotten through it by myself.

We are currently working on planning Lauren's birthday party which she is very excited about. Justin is growing everyday. He has started giggling and it is too cute. He just loves to smile!!! Next week we have his 4 month check-up. He is about to start eating stuff other than just milk and that kind of makes me sad. He isn't my newborn anymore.

Today is our 7th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately I was not even able to talk to Jason today because he is halfway around the world in the middle of the sea. He has promised me a night out when he gets back. We have known each other for 14 years and started dating 13 years ago. There is not a day I would change. I love you Jason!

Springtime is here!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and is enjoying the springtime! Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. As most of you know, I am good at finding or making up projects for myself to work on and right now I have several that are keeping me busy. Today I finally sent out the last of Justin's birth announcements (3 months later). Oh how life changes with the second child. I started Lauren's before she was even born and had them ready within a week or two after she was born.

I have two big projects that I am emerging myself in at the moment. April and I are hosting a bachelorette weekend for Laurel (my future sister-in-law) and I am having a lot of fun planning that. Also, Lauren's 4th birthday is coming up in May and she and I have been brainstorming ideas for her party. The theme this year is 'My Little Pony'. The toy that was popular when I was her age has made a comeback. She is at the age where she has an opinion about everything and her vivid imagination has come up with a lot of ideas. She has already said that she just wants girls at her party, but we are still figuring all that out.

Justin will be 3 months old tomorrow! He is growing way too fast for my liking. I haven't uploaded pictures from the camera lately, but when I do I will post some new ones.

FYI: Our children's program at church, Sonshine Kids, will be performing their spring musical during our 11 o'clock service on April 13th. Lauren has a short solo during one of the songs. We would welcome anyone who would like to join us!
